Tamaasahi Shuzo, located in Yatsuo Town, Toyama City, is a historic brewery with over 200 years of heritage, founded during the Bunka era (1804-1818) of the Edo period.
Situated in the heart of Yatsuo, a town famous for the mystical and traditional 'Owara Kaze no Bon' festival held in early September, the brewery remains deeply connected to the local culture. They strictly use 100% Toyama-grown rice and maintain a sincere attitude toward brewing, with each bottle meticulously crafted by hand.
While preserving traditional brands like 'Owara Musume,' they are also gaining attention for creative innovations that defy convention, such as 'Saita Saita,' brewed with tulip flower yeast (Toyama's prefectural flower), and 'MOTHER,' a unique product made directly from the fermentation starter (shubo). By blending 200 years of tradition with a playful spirit of innovation, they continue to express the essence of Yatsuo's terroir through their sake.
