Okuhida Shuzo is a long-established brewery in Kanayama-cho, Gero City, founded in 1720 (Kyoho 5), boasting a history of over 300 years. Located at the confluence of the Hida River and the Maze River, blessed with water, it uses clear underground water pumped from about 50m underground and Gifu Prefecture's sake brewing rice "Hidahomare." While protecting traditional production methods continuing from the Edo period, it brews sake rooted in the local climate, such as the main brand "Hatsumidori" and "Okuhida." The quaint brewery designated as an Important Landscape Building of Gero City is also one of its attractions.
