Ishigami Shuzo is a long-established brewery founded in the first year of Koka (1844) at the end of the Edo period, known as the easternmost brewery in the Kanto region. On the premises, there are two breweries made of Oya stone, "Meiji Kura" and "Taisho Kura," which are designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan. Focusing on high-quality sake-brewing rice from Chiba Prefecture, it practices careful sake brewing with the excellent brewing skills of Nanbu Toji. Using well water rich in minerals results in sake with a strong taste and strong personality. It is a brewery where you can feel history and elegance, brewed in the mild climate and natural features of Choshi.
