For over 140 years since the Meiji era, they have steadfastly maintained a policy of honest, handcrafted brewing.
The brewing water is drawn from the underground streams of Mount Yakugyo, known to be of high quality comparable to the famous "Miyamizu" of Nada Gogo.
In Japanese mythology, Awaji Island is said to be the first island born in the "Kuniumi" (Birth of the Land), and the brand "Kuniumi no Shizuku" embodies respect for this myth.
While protecting traditional handmade techniques, they develop a diverse range of brands, expressing the local culture and the worldview of Japanese mythology in their sake.
