Kikuzakari Shuzo is a brewery located in Kitakami City, founded in the Meiji era as Fujimura Shuzoten. After the 5th generation owner Takuya Fujimura took office, they have successively announced brands with unique naming such as "Taxi Driver," working on creating a new sake culture through fusion with subculture.
"Taxi Driver," created through collaboration with film magazine art director Yoshiki Takahashi, was named after the masterpiece movie starring Robert De Niro, and attracted national attention with its impactful label design and reliable sake quality.
Characterized by unique rice selection such as using Iwate Prefecture's edible rice "Kakehashi," it features a firm body and sharp taste, and is characterized by a sake quality design based on the concept of "sake delicious as warm sake."
Even in the reconstruction period after the earthquake disaster, unique brand development supported the brewery, and it has now established a solid position as a main product.
