Yahatagawa Shuzo is a long-established brewery founded in the Bunsei era, located at the mouth of the Yahata River in Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City.
Pumping up the underground water (soft water) of Mt. Gokurakuji, they have continued to protect Hiroshima's traditional soft water brewing method for about 200 years since their founding.
The representative brand "Yahatagawa" boasts a top-class share in the prefecture, especially for nigori sake (cloudy sake), and is deeply loved by locals. In recent years, it has been highly evaluated in domestic and international competitions, and they are challenging sake brewing that fuses tradition and innovation.
