Uchiki Shuzo was a brewery loved by the community that continued brewing for many years in Sakura Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Its history is long, and it once brewed sincere and warm sake that stayed close to local people's lives.
The flagship brand "Asahi Masamune" was popular as a very auspicious sake combining "Asahi," wishing for momentum like the rising morning sun, and "Masamune," a synonym for famous sake. Its flavor was calm and upright, enhancing dishes, and walked along with the local food culture.
Currently, it has unfortunately closed, and traditional brewing has ended, but as an important brewery that colored the history of Saitama City's local sake, its memory is still engraved in the hearts of local people. The tradition that lasted nearly 240 years and the name of the brand "Asahi Masamune" are passed down as a precious page in Saitama Prefecture's brewing culture.
