Choryo Sake Brewery is located in Koryo-cho, Kitakatsuragi-gun, Nara Prefecture, and was founded in 1963.
The founder, Teiichi Iida, launched Japan's first bottled taru-sake (cedar barrel sake), "Yoshinosugi no Taruzake", in 1964 with the desire to "let people enjoy high-quality taru-sake easily", contributing to the spread of taru-sake culture.
Located in the Nara Basin with Mt. Kongo to the north and the mountains of Yoshino to the south, it brews sake in a location blessed with a rich natural environment. While maintaining tradition, it is characterized by its stance of continuing new challenges, and in 2022, it opened "Choryo Brew Park" next to the head office, providing a place for interaction where you can enjoy sake and craft beer.
Adhering to quality first and developing diverse brands, it continues to grow as a brewery loved by a wide range of sake fans.
