Masuichi

"Masuichi" is a brand that was long loved in Yamazaki, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City, from its founding in 1856 until the brewery's closure in 2012.
Its name comes from the wish for drinkers to become 'ever more happy' (Masu-masu Shiawase). The flavor, a fusion of Shizuoka's natural water, sincere rice selection, and traditional techniques, symbolized the calm and peaceful 'daily life of Shizuoka.' Although it has now become a "phantom brand," the memory of how it once brilliantly colored dining tables and enriched local conversations is still cherished in the history of local sake.
