Urano

Founded in 1864, Urano is a long-established brewery boasting 160 years of history in Toyota City (formerly Sanage Village), Aichi Prefecture.
It began when the Urano family, who served as village headmen (shoya) of West Kamo District in Mikawa Province, opened a brewery to express gratitude for abundant harvests.
Their flagship brand name "Kikuishi" originates from the chrysanthemum-shaped fossils that are natural monuments of the local sacred Mount Sanage, a prestigious name received from Sanage Shrine.
They are committed to handmade methods that bring out the gentle sweetness and full-bodied umami of rice, valuing a soft quality with a pleasant aftertaste that stays close to the drinker's heart.
It is a house that respects local climate and tradition, long loved by the community.
