Noda Shuzo is a historical brewery in Setaka-machi, Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, founded in the Meiji era. Its greatest feature is unique sake brewing using ancient rice (red rice, black rice, green rice) cultivated in their own fields.
The representative brand "Chiyonishiki" was named to commemorate the honor of offering rice at the Niiname-sai (Harvest Festival) in the 12th year of Taisho. Utilizing the underground water of the Yabe River system and the blessings of the Chikugo Plain, they develop a variety of products utilizing local resources, such as ancient rice sake and locally produced liqueurs, in addition to traditional sake.
