Rakushin was the main brand manufactured by Ikeda Shuzo, founded in 1872 (Meiji 5), in Takamatsu City.
They continued sake brewing loved by the region, but production ended with the closure of the brewery in 2005.
The tradition and technology of Ikeda Shuzo's sake brewing were inherited by Shodoshima Shuzo (Morikuni Shuzo) by the 4th generation brewer Yoshinori Ikeda, and are carved into the history of sake brewing in Kagawa Prefecture in a new form.
