Kondo Shuzo

Kondo Shuzo, located in the Omama district of Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, was founded by Kamekichi Kondo under the trade name "Tanakaya."
Situated at the foot of Mount Akagi, the brewery uses pure underground spring water from the mountain to craft its sake.
Originally sold under the name "Akagi," the brand was later renamed "Akagisan" by the third-generation owner to evoke the image of a beautiful full moon over the famous peak.
The brewery is committed to producing consistently dry sake and has received widespread acclaim, including consecutive gold medals at the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Sake Awards.
Dedicated to regional revitalization, they also produce an "All Midori City" Junmai Ginjo using rice grown in reclaimed local paddies.
