Takeuchi Shuzo is a long-established brewery founded in 1744, boasting 280 years of tradition as a local sake brewery in the castle town of Ogaki, the Water City. Ogaki is characterized by high-quality spring water and cold winds suitable for brewing. By insisting on rice, water, and the skill of the Toji (master brewer), the brewery achieves a sake quality with a rich and full-bodied taste. Representative brands "Mino Kobai," "Itteki Senzan," and "Ogaki Jo" have won gold prizes in domestic and international sake contests. "Ogaki Jo" is named after Ogaki Castle, where Ishida Mitsunari was last stationed before the Battle of Sekigahara.
