Munemasa Shuzo initially started with the production of shochu "Nonnoko", and later obtained a license for sake production and began selling the sake "Munemasa". It uses spring water from the forest of Mt. Kurokami in Arita Town, which was selected as one of the "Top 100 Waters", as brewing water. This water is ultra-soft with a hardness of 14, and the brewery uses 100% Saga rice for brewing. The main factory was moved to Arita Porcelain Park in Arita Town, and it now also functions as a tourist brewery. It has received high acclaim, winning gold awards at domestic and international contests such as the Fukuoka Regional Taxation Bureau's Sake Awards, Kura Master, IWC, and the Annual Japan Sake Awards. Brewery tours are also available, where visitors can see the production process of shochu and sake and bottling equipment, and enjoy free tasting at the adjacent tourist facility.
