Kawanami Shoji Co., Ltd. (Kawanami Shuzo) is a brewery located in Yamashiro-cho, Imari City. Currently, it reportedly sells only to customers who visit the store directly. The brand name "Fuji no Yuki" (Snow of Fuji) is said to have been named by the predecessor who was moved by the beauty of the snow on Mt. Fuji during a trip to Tokyo. In the Meiji and Taisho eras, there were many coal mines in the region, and the brewery was so prosperous that production could not keep up with demand.
