Baba Shuzojo was founded by the first generation, Usaemon Baba, and currently, the eighth generation, Daiichiro Baba, serves as both the representative and master brewer (Toji). Using spring water from the Tara Mountain range in Kashima City and rice grown in Saga Prefecture, the brewery is dedicated to small-batch sake brewing. It also participates in Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism and actively promotes local sake culture. Its representative brands are "Nogomi", "JOKER", and "Léger".
