"Kusudama" was originally written as "Medicine Ball," but was later changed to "Kusudama" with the meaning of "Gem (Treasure) that maintains longevity for a long time." Using underground water from the Northern Alps of Hida Takayama and Hidahomare grown under contract with local farmers, the traditional taste brewed in the severe cold continues to be loved locally as a celebratory sake.
