"Matsushiro Miyasaka Shuzoten" is Matsushiro's only brewery that started sake brewing at its current location in the Meiji era and continued without closing even during the battles of the Showa era.
In 2010 (Heisei 22), the company name was changed to "Matsushiro Miyasaka Shuzoten Co., Ltd.," and it shifted to a system of consigning brewing to a parent brewery that brews sake with unique qualities suitable for the castle town of Matsushiro using Nagano Prefecture's sake brewing rice, and selling original products.
As the only brewery that inherits the history and culture of Matsushiro, the castle town of the Sanada domain's 100,000 koku, they also provide local tourist information services.
Tasting is possible at the brewery.
