黄金井酒造の名を冠した銘柄で、「黄金井」という名前は黄金色に輝く美しい井戸水を連想させ、良質な仕込み水を使用した酒造りを象徴していたと考えられます。
蔵の廃業により現在は製造されていませんが、秋田市内の酒造りの歴史の一部として記憶されています。
