"Chidori" is a representative brand of Utsunomiya Shuzo, named after the figure of plovers (chidori) playing in the clear stream of Hijikawa River.
It features a gentle aroma and soft umami with a good mouthfeel, and is an all-around player that is easy to match with any dish. It can be enjoyed in a wide range of temperatures from cold to hot sake, and especially when warmed to lukewarm sake (nurukan), the sweetness of rice stands out and invites a gentle drunken feeling.
