"Asukai" is a historic sake passed down for over 300 years as the flagship brand of Nyu Shuzo. The name is derived from the "Asukai Cherry Tree" planted in the precincts of Yasaka Shrine near the brewery. Initially brewed as sacred sake for the shrine, it uses mineral-rich "Enmei no Mizu" (Life-Prolonging Water) springing from the shrine grounds. It features a mellow mouthfeel and a deep taste that lets you feel history.
