東灘は西の銘醸地・灘（兵庫県）に対し東の灘たるべくつけられた創業時からの銘柄です。
年間製造量は約200石の小規模蔵で全量手造りにこだわり、「芳醇旨口でキレのある酒質」を目指しています。
一度は休造を決意したが執念で継続の道を掴み、実力派杜氏・菊池譲氏が就任することで新たな時代へと歩み始めました。
